Bob Staranowicz & Kim Long Orphanage
Robert Staranowicz is a dear friend of mine who I met over Facebook. My heart was touched after I saw Bob's pictures at an orphanage & hearing his story of why he returned to help the children in Vietnam.
Bob is an American Vietnam Veteran who served with the 101st Airborne in 1969-1970 in Vietnam & returned to Vietnam in 2009 to look for an orphanage he had
helped when he had served. Bob eventually found Kim Long orphanage (Huê) again & since returning to Vietnam in 2009 he has carried on supporting the
“The most memorable time of my service in Vietnam was not the military portion, but the time spent visiting a local orphanage in Kim Long, a poor area of Huê, Vietnam, along the Perfume River. We would take our laundry to this place run by French nuns. We always took candy or toys sent from home and the children always appreciated anything that we would give them."
Miraculously Bob found Tu & Lan again who he had cared for when they were just little boys at Kim Long!
Together we CAN make a difference!

Chapter One The Story Of Vic Charles: By Bob Staranowicz
Bob is now the author of Chapter One:The Story Of Vic Charles which is about a man who has returned from Vietnam & is trying to deal with the aftermath of War but still relives his experiences more than twenty years later. He is haunted by the fact that he had never said "good-bye" to the friends he lost in Vietnam.
From communicating with Veterans or people who were involved with the Vietnam War, I realised that communication between those who served or endured living through War, rarely talked about their experiences so this is certainly a fascinating & touching read for all, whether you are a Veteran or not.
Bob will also be donating a percentage of the sales of his book to Kim Long orphanage!
Please click the below link or on the cover of Chapter One:The Story Of Vic Charles to buy on Amazon for only $4.99 US on Kindle or $15.99 US for paperback.
