2009 Tandem Skydive!

In 2007, the kids at my old orphanage (Go Vap) touched my heart & inspired me to create the Vietnam Volunteer Network. When the Vietnamese adoptees from around the world wanted to have a reunion in Vietnam in 2010 to celebrate the 35th anniversary since the War ended, I decided to arrange care days & deliver aid to Go Vap orphanage as well as to another orphanage in Nha Trang.
In order to buy the aid, I decided to... jump for the money! As you can see, I certainly had fun!
Thank you so much to all of those who donated to help make the children's eyes light up, have fun & for us to also donate much needed medical & dental aid as well as rice & milk... & copious amounts of toys, sweets!

Together we CAN make a difference!

Love & light,
Kim xox

2010 Cute Christmas Cards: Created By The Kids At Go Vap Orphanage

Picture

Our wonderful creative project manager & volunteer in Vietnam Diana Nguyen, has set up a weekly art class, which is held on Thursdays at Go Vap orphanage. Art is a fantastic outlet for the children, bringing together benefits such as therapy as well as coordination skills.

The children are making Christmas cards which will be launched by December 2010 & will be sold on line as digital cards on this website.  So, if you'd like help save the environment at Christmas by not sending cards via the mail & would also like to contribute towards the children at Go Vap orphanage, then please consider these very cute cards.

Please come back to this site for details or for updates, please visit our Vietnam Volunteer Network Facebook page.

NB: Due to other commitments Diana is no longer working for the VVN. We will miss you Diana! Thanks for all of your support during 2010!

Love & light,

May 2011 Australian Fashion Parade Fundraiser

Picture
Our friend Roni Wildeboer in Australia, who is also the wife of my friend Laurens, (an Australian Vietnam Veteran) held a Champagne Fashion Parade Fundraiser on 20.05.2011 at Pret A Porter, 44 Piper Street, Kyneton.

We initially thought the money would go towards physiotherapy equipment at Go Vap orphanage, however the Director received aid in Vietnam, so used the money we donated towards two air conditioners in the Vietnam Volunteer Network room at GVO!

The remaining money will be put towards our other projects.

Thank you Roni for your fundraising event & for donating $2004.50 to the Vietnam Volunteer Network!

Together we can make a difference!

Love & light,
Kim & the VVN Team xox
